They're everywhere...those bird-headed men they call Taheen. His servants.

They've got how many patrols to watch us with? Can they see what we're writing on these things now too?

Could the Crimson King really take this place over just like that? Without even us having any chance to fight? I can't feel the darkness inside of me...or, it's still there ( Read more... )

headed for the shock collar, checking in, imprisonment, nasty taheen, event: devar-toi, an escape plan?

Well? Be careful, anything you do and speak up will draw attention. And with all of us being unarmed, likely unskilled, and of various backgrounds, forming a makeshift force would be futile.

We can't just...lose our chance to do anything.

We won't lose a chance to do anything. But forming an opposition takes more of a carefully arranged force than you realize.

A force like what?

A counter force, an opposition.

Okay. You're going to 'carefully arrange' that?

If you are, you can count me in.

Are you sure that's wise?

What of information of who's policing us?

Taheen. Bird people, when they've been in World's End before, they fought with us after the Crimson King's threats. But there were enough of us then to fight back, and we had our weapons and other powers.

Crimson King? What do these "Taheen" do?

[There's a slight, abrupt sigh, and her tone only slightly miffed]

Listen. I only say these things as a former warrior, belonging to an organization because of tactical experience. Even if I'm no longer protecting humans, I still want the best for them. I would be for some sort of opposition, if handled carefully. Though I am not blindly leading anyone into a fight. Quite literally, I'm afraid. I've lost my sight years ago. The best I can do is advise tactics.

The one who's caused a lot of trouble for World's End before. Threatening to kidnap kids, doing other stuff, you'd have to ask the people who've been around longer than me.

They fight. These ones look like they've got plenty of guns.

You...can't see?

So they police us, in a sense.

"Guns"? What are those?

I'm afraid not, this thing generates responses for me. But before my abilities were stripped, my senses surpassed even my own kind.

Police? They're guards.

You've never heard- they're....like arrows, but more powerful?

What 'kind' are you?
