Updates
I'm at my parent's place for the day. Our kitchen is getting made over, so Adam and I had to vamoose. Living on our own again has been wonderful, I can't even describe the feeling accurately.
So...updates....let's see...well, bad news first. Our bedroom flooded. There was a leak in a pipe behind the wall. Luckily, Mitchell fixed it promptly. We'll be able to move our stuff back into the bedroom tomorrow. It was a shame though because he had to rip up all the flooring he had just installed. He salvaged it though...he's very handy. That's it for bad news...it wasn't even that bad....just inconvenient.
Good news: I have a job!! I took a few self-improvement courses at this place called reachAbility. They help out people living with disabilities. My first day there the owner came right up to me and took an immediate liking to me. Within the first ten minutes she had offered me a six month work placement. I'm going to be her assistant. I got a list of my duties, and there's a lot but I know I can handle it. One of my jobs will be helping with outreach to schools. That is something I am nervous about but really looking forward to as well. I've always wanted to educate the public. The only catch to the whole thing is that my salary will have to be funded. It will happen, it just may take a couple weeks. it will be worth the wait though.
Great News: I've decided to start living a vegetarian lifestyle. Eventually I plan on going vegan, but I want to take it one step at a time. It's been four days and I feel awesome about the decision. I know it will be difficult at times, but the rewards far outweigh any problems I may face. I'm so proud of myself.
