Oh my! Do be careful, miss! Do you need a hand with those?

....[Looks at him warily, still holding several pies on her arms, though most of them seem to have been delivered at this point]

As a gentleman, it would be impolite of me not to offer my assistance to a lady.

[Walking over - the pie smells good] Did you bake these yourself?

[myowndrumbeat]

[Neatly sets her remaining pies down on the ground silently, taking one pie out of the stack and handing it to Brook with a ghost of a smile]

[KINDA CREEPY buuut - PIE!] Oh! For me? Why thank you, miss!

But - [He scratches at this afro in confusion] Have we made each other's acquaintance before? Perhaps my memory is faulty and I have simply forgotten, but I have no recollection of meeting you until this point!

[Slooooooow catty blink at that, she just smiles]

[That's a bit odd. Well he certainly hopes he hasn't met her before and just forgotten. What if he had asked to see her panties and she had actually showed him them?!]

[When she doesn't speak at first, he decides to give her time to do so and looks back down at the pie] In any case, I thank you for this gift! It smells absolutely divine! It certainly has been some time since I've has - oh, wait one moment. There's a note here as well!

[Chews her lip for a moment in thought, before she looks up at him with a smile]

I'm River. [Winks at him, it passing so quickly he might not even notice if he wasn't paying attention, before she turns and starts walking off]

[And for once, Brook is speechless. He's forcing himself to recover as quickly as possible though. It'll do him no good to be depressed, after all! He gets his voice back once she's started moving]

A-ah! Thank you for the pie then, River-san. [He turns to walk away]
