So, let me get this straight... are all of you from earth or something? And all human? Not a spacer or another species amongst you? Cause that is kinda...

[Unfathomably weird, yeah. Damnit, you guys. He's from a tiny planet where he can pretty much count the number of times he has been surrounded by humans on one hand.]

Do you mean to say that you know people from other planets?

What's what like?

Well, I am from another planet, so I guess that is what I'm saying.

Depends on the planet, I guess. Montressor's... a dump.

...brilliant. I didn't know there were people from other planets here. What do you mean by a dump?

And I meant...in your post, you asked "What's it like?" What's what like?

It's just... a dump. Nothing but mining here. The biggest thing we got is the space port. We're not exactly center stage of anything.

Ah, Earth I meant. I've never been there.

At least you've got a space port, I suppose? Better to be connected to the rest of...whatever else there is out there, right?

Well. I'm not sure how to describe it, as it's all I know. And it's a big planet, there are many different terrains and climates.

Yeah, that's true.

Well, where I'm from Earth... is actually just a dry rock. so anything you're willing to tell me is cool.

I suppose that's not much of a comfort, though. This place isn't just a dry rock, though.

How about I tell you about where I'm from, then? I live in England, but for most of the last six years I was at school in Scotland. Scotland is beautiful. The grounds of our school were very green and bright. Hills and craggy rocks in places. A lake containing a giant squid. And the Forbidden Forest. There are all kinds of things in the Forbidden Forest. Which is, as you might imagine, why it's forbidden.

Tell me more about that forest. If you want to, I mean.

[aww yeah forbidden things]

Well. I'm supposed to have been in it, but honestly, you tell teenagers that they're not allowed to do something and what will they do?

There are all kinds of creatures and plants in the forest, many of which are extremely dangerous. Like Centaurs, Acromantula, Devil's Snare. You have to be prepared for the worst at all times. But not everything is deadly. It's beautiful, and more mystical creatures, like unicorns, live there too.

Sounds like an amazing place to visit some time.

[Hey, he is cool believing in unicorns and what not. With all the aliens he meets on a regular basis, unicorns don't seem very special at all.

Of course, he just figures they are horses with horns. Nothing magical, of course. Of course.]

I wouldn't recommend it, unless you've got a wizard with you. Many of the forest's inhabitants are quite unfriendly.

[Nothing magical? Bah.

... Wizard.

[You may proceed to convince him now.]

Or a witch. I can handle myself all right in the forest.

[He will be thoroughly convinced when she's done with him.]

Yes. I go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Or did, anyway.
