dinner parties galore, and I am in NYC!
so the short time that I've been hme from CO before leaving for NYc has been a bit frenzied and crazy, but also filled with lots of good times. First of all, it was My friend Evil Lynn and her husband Briands bdays. So I gave the gift of food, as I only know how. I told Lynn I would make her whatever she wanted and she said FRIED CHICKEN. SO I made classic corn flake crusted fried chicken, soaked them in yogurt for hours and hours before. I also made mashed potatoes with leeks and heavy cream, roasted corn with red peppers and hot peppers, and roasted pumpkin with maple syrup. and gravy because duh. Of course we had to have apps, so I made frozen leftover balls. slave twenty taught Me this trick. I had shepards pie I had made so I made fried leftover balls with them and dipped them into gravy. it was also bike night downtown, but it was pretty much boring so Lynn and I split, we were already in a food coma anyhow.
We had Olden come up from the Boston area, Olden is a paramedic in the Salem area and we were training him to become a part of the suspension team before he fell off the face of the earth, BUT he's back now. he came with his friends and his new girlfriend and we did our last waterfall suspension of the season. I didn't hang, I wanted to, but I had just hung a few weeks ago and tore, and I have a bunch of shoots coming up and it was cold out and I magined Myself getting sick. So instead I watched everyone else hang!
We were on mother mountain greylock this time, SO beautiful. The fall here is JUST beginning to explode and it is so gorgeous I can barely handle it. Of course the out of town visitors and leaf peppers are clogging up traffic and oohing and aahing over our country life. So Emrys had a GUSHER and bled all over, this is how I spent My weekend:

I made an EPIC dinner for everyone. pork meatballs with mustard/tarragon/mushroom sauce, roasted butternut squash, vegan gluten chickpatties, awesome fresh salad with those gorgeous pumpkin seeds, fried local purple potatoes.
now, there's a farmstand down the street from where I live. I went to it, didn't see much I wanted, but then I saw cute farm boy, complete in overalls and chewing on a cud of grass, with long hair selling potatoes. Really gorgeous local purple potatoes. Fucking $12.50 for potatoes! He assured Me they would be awesome and they definately were!
then the next day Kimber and Emrys and Ben and I all went hiking again in some gorgeous places. Kimber is adorable and aren't we cute together
so that brings us to now, in which point in time I am packing for My trip to NYC tomorrow. Since the way I blogged last time I was in NY: where I made a list of what I was doing everyday and how you could find Me and how My friends could hang with Me, it worked so: I'm going to do it again
