I've been on a sort-of-diet since December as I noticed that my metabolism is not as fast as it used to be. I used to eat humongous amount of food and hardly gain weight. But now, I can feel each serving of food staying in my hips, arms and tummy! Hence, the semi-diet. I only eat salad and wheat bread sandwich during lunch. Fruits for snacks. And then my officemate and I jog twice a week after work.
On a side note, for my officemate, losing weight is not her only goal... she wants to be fit in order to get ready to stalk JieLun in the near future! I'm telling you, I created a monster, lol! After I recommended Secret and Mars, there's no turning back for her. She's completely head over heels in love with Jay! And she has a small crush on ZaiZai, too! We often spend our lunch break watching videos of Jay, reading past articles about Jay, listening to Jay's music, talking about Jay, squealing for Jay, etc., etc. :D It is, indeed, so easy to fall for Jay. ♥♥♥
So back to my diet, despite my efforts, I'm still somewhat far from my goal. Probably because of my choice of food during weekends (and lately, even during dinner). Take the past few days, while I eat my salad during lunch time, I can't help but join friends for dinner after work. Last Friday, we ate at Joey's Pepperoni and then had dessert at Apartment 1B. The white toblerone cheesecake is to die for! *yummy* I love those small restaurants in Salcedo Village. Even during Friday nights, they're not as crowded as Greenbelt and other gimmick places. Perfect for unwinding after work :)
Then last Monday, we again ate at Joey's Pepperoni for dinner. For Tuesday, I actually had a break and just contented myself with my wheat bread sandwich from The Market. But yesterday, we ate at Bubba Gump. And, of course, I couldn't resist ordering my fave, Shrimp New Orleans! (Oh, my diet!)
And today is Valentine's Day (Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!). I didn't want to brave the traffic because I still get nervous driving alone while stuck in a traffic jam. So what's the best thing to do? Have a dinner date with friends... again. We ate at Apartment 1B (again!). Up to now, I can feel the calories from that sinful dessert! However, as great as the restaurant is, they had a major boo-boo. I ordered an additional cheesecake to bring home to
pinkrabbit17. But when we opened the take-out box, there's no cheesecake. It was a chicken and potato dish! Oh well, I'll just call tomorrow and inform them of their mistake.
Anyway, enough of my ramblings. I'm so looking forward to the weekend and getting my Jay goodies from
jerrydezstalker tomorrow!
~ETA~
I managed to get Apartment 1B's contact number and called them. They were very apologetic and told me that I could get my cheesecake tomorrow (and the chicken and potato dish is free). Great! At least this incident has not completely marred my dining experience. :)
