Alec is my favourite character in Dark Angel. I like the contrast between the face he presents to the world - cocky, cynical and selfish - and the fundamental decency that lies underneath all that and keeps coming out (often despite his best efforts). For the canon as a whole, I enjoy a lot of the world-building, especially in terms of the cityscape of post-Pulse Seattle, with the contrasts between rich and poor, the sector system and the scarcity of resources.
Any kind of story focused on Alec would be great, but some of the things I'd enjoy seeing are a snippet of an earlier mission for Manticore, or something about his relationships with the other transgenics, or what he gets up to after the end of canon. I ship him with Asha but not Max, although I very much enjoy stories where Alec and Max relate to each other like snarky siblings.

Hexwood - Diana Wynne Jones

This book blew me away when I first read it and started understanding how the pieces were coming together - I think it's one of the cleverest and most effective of DWJ's books, and has a great mix of frivolity and darkness.
We get a lot of the story from Vierran's (often distorted!) perspective, so I'd be interested in seeing events in the book from the perspective of the others. It would also be great to see more of their lives during their earlier mental connection, and how that connection helps and supports each of them. A final suggestion would be to look at events after the book ends: what next?

Miracles (TV)
Fanfiction Any Character
I love the atmosphere created in this show. The episodes are often beautifully paced and there's always a combination of painstaking, skeptical investigation with the possibility of things beyond our current understanding and ability to explain. I also enjoyed the feeling the show was always building to some clear answers, even if we never actually got them!
Any new fic in this fandom would be great, but I'd be particularly interested in a look at what happens after the end of canon, or a story that explores the relationships between any two or all three of the characters, during canon or afterwards. For example, how does Paul and Evelyn's relationship develop after Matty's kidnapping is resolved? Or what/who does Keel really think Paul is and how does Keel think he fits into the coming large event? Or why did Evelyn take the job working with Keel and, as a former police officer, what does she feel about investigating paranormal cases?
