updating.. woohoo

hmmmmmmmm
so exams? haha they went well enough
and I got a B+ in physics!! I found out on my birthday, and it made my day (my birthday.. obviously was not very exciting)
so yeah.. I made dean's list, but once again, my elective course brought my gpa down! It's crap. But at least I don't have to take another BS class for a while

Summer 06 was... amazing
with it came:
a month of laziness
scrapbooking
getting followed by angry rednecks
a trip to dad's work apartment in DC
"1/3 BFFs" who are amazing just so you know
a 9:30-5:30 shift at camp.. with a raise!.. and air conditioning!!!
.. and it was super duper awesome and I'm really glad I went back
fondue and hottub rondevous
a spectacular week with the floridians
a surprise birthday celebration complete with a scavenger hunt (in two parts! haha) ending with a digital camera
fun dates
two long, but glorious weeks with the youth group traveling on a bus to the Grand canyons for a day, CSU for NATIONAL YOUTH CONFERENCE for a week, and the St. Louis arch for 1/2 a day.
(NYC was awesome by the way.. wednesday night was by far the best. We all started sobbing. and everything that we were mad at disappeared.. it was pretty sweeeeeet! =] )
Ace gang nights .. producing some pretty sweet pictures, though only one time did we have all 6 together
a cookout with allllmost everyone that made me super happy because we are all still good friends
nights of cruising with Ernnn
and
wimping out on getting my ears pierced

while there were a few regrettable moments, I wouldn't have changed but a few things
The first month was a bit slow and boring, but things majorly picked up like.. the week before abby and Aaron came, so basically once we hit July. And all of July and August was so amazing June doesn't even matter anymore.
The only thing that could have made summer noticibly better would have been a trip to the beach... or to any pool period.
yeah.. I only swam once. and that was in a creek. It's pretty sad. oh well!

By the end of the summer though, I was excited to come back to school. I miss all my friends, and my family, but there's something nice about the freedom college offers, and the way that everyone's in the same boat.

So I came back to school August 16th to try out for band.. which I didn't make. There were 53 ? clarinets for 36 spots. It sucked because I had to practice for like 23 hours. And it sucks because it would've been fun, and I would've met lots of people. But I'm ok about it. I'll probably be sad when I go to the games and hear them play... buttt I didn't really like the section leaders that much- I thought they were pretty rude, and I didn't even really like any of the other "rookie" clarinets that much. And lots of the girls wanted it way more than I did. So I'm fine with it. Every day at 5:30-7 I'm realllly happy about it because I'm not having to practice. :)

My room is awesomeeee it's right on the drill field, and it's HUGE! We're getting a futon soon, and that's exciting.
My roommate is awesome as well. I'm so happy I decided to room with her instead of doing random!

Classes started on monday the 21st(?)
it was an interesting day to say the least :)
A prisoner from the Montgomery County jail overtook an officer at the hospital on Sunday, and he shot the hospitals unarmed security guard, who later died. On Monday morning, he killed a police officer on a trail right next to Tech's campus. They closed down part of the campus that morning, but not where classes were.. so off I go to class at 9:35, and coming back, I see Squires blocked off with police tape (this is across the street from my dorm btw) There were all these people stopped watching, talking on their phones. I heard someone say there were snipers on top of the library and I was like hmmmm I'm going inside!! And then Joey calls me to say that all classes are cancelled. We were put on "lock down" and weren't supposed to leave. I was pretty scared.. but somehow found it funny. And then the boredom set it. So I left and went to West Egg to watch a movie w/ Adam. We made the national news.. too bad I couldn't watch it because we didn't have a cable yet. hahaha

So classes started for real on tuesday.
They kinda suck. They threw us right into the work. It actually isn't that bad, but I do have a lot already. And I have a ton a ton a ton of classes every week. Complete with three 8 ams. owww! I'll let you know by the end of the week (our first full week with labs) whether it's killed me or not.

This last weekend, I went home for Jessica's birthday. It was pretty fun. friday night me and Aaron made her a giant cookie, and decorated (very very crappily :-/ we bought balloons that said Happy 16th Birthday! .. she was turning 15) hahah Saturday we went shopping for Jessica, and for school things, and went to dinner at Olive Garden. It was a.m.a.z.i.n.g! (of course) Jessica got reallllly mad because she thought we weren't going to tell them it was her birthday. hahaha it was hilarious, because dad had whispered it to the waitress right beside JEssica, and she was totally oblivious.
Then we went home, and me and Aaron set up a scavenger hunt, with a gift at each new place. It was pretty freaking sweet :)
Sunday was church, nana's and getting jessica's ears pierced for her birthday! (ps.. I don't think i can get mine done. Its a bummer because I'd love to wear earrings... especially the ones Elise and Ser gave me for my birthday.. thanks guys!)

Then there was yesterday.. where I was super tired, and today.. where I've been super tired. I think perhaps I should go to bed early tonight? It might be smart.

but tonight brings Calculus homework (that's way harder than it looks in class btw) dinner w/ Christing taris ashley and .. everyone else haha I dont feel like typing it anymore because it just hit me how I need to really do my homework. And then tennis with Aaron :) woot

ps.. I should probably catch up on my reading as quickly as possible or before I know it, I'll be way behind. sighhh
