Christmas!
christmas is over! that's sad.
buttt uhm on friday:
I went shopping with mom
saturday:
ordered our christmas card. haha it's cute. "whishing you a 'Grand' Christmas" w/ a picture of the four of us at the Grand Canyons (actually it was at Bryce... but general same thing... almmmooosttt)
took dad back home because he was sick, and went shopping with mom and jessica
sunday:
church, nana's dinner, home, youth
monday:
waited for the plumber to come that never did. gr. stupid man...
what else did I do? I know I did something else...
ohhh yeah! haha right.
I picked up jessica and amelia at river.. and then was late meeting claire, flo!, and hasty at the vfw to go meet chels for dinner at Kabuki. it was very good and lots of fun. Afterwards we hung out at claire's.. I missed claire and hasty a lot, and it was cool to finally meet flo
tuesday:
Waited for the plumber again. although he actually did come. around 3...
Met Poo and Tay in Daleville and went w/ them to River's basketball game. haha I dont think I ever stayed to watch a basketball game when I was actually going there. oh well- it was a good game. They won by 2 points.
the plumber apparently stayed until like 10... burnt a hole in jessica's tub, and installed a HUGE and weird showerhead.
wednesday:
got lots of phone calls when i was still asleep... from jessica saying to come pick me up bc she didnt feel good. So I did...
and mom and dad went shopping and i stayed with the sick one. boy was she pathetic
thursday:
jessica became a permanent fixture of our couch. and the plumber came again. and patched the hole... although now I still think her bathroom smells weird, and it isn't the same color as the tub...
I made fruit salad, delivered it to the church for a funeral
made cookies.. mmmmm and went caroling and .. christmas partying and had a lock-in w/ youth
it was much fun. everyone was there except matt and jessica- both of whom i missed, but it was still fun
me and clara made a scavanger hunt at like... 2. haha I was surprised everyone got up and did it except ben.
friday:
christmas eve's eve! haha went shopping with dad again
grandpa made a house call to jessica because she couldn't get up out of bed to go visit him.
he diagnosed her with the flu. and gave her $80 dollar medicine... and everyone else $25 medicine to prevent us from getting it (that's one expensive illness... like 150, for 5 days of drugs) so jessica, being stuck on our couch, was a major pain. because she wouldnt let anyone talk or turn on the tv, or ... do anything basically because her ears were sensitive. so I went w/ dad to pick up the medicine bc it was soo boring at home...
saturday:
christmas eve! I wrapped presents, and mom and dad went and did something... I dont know where they were exactly- but they came back, and we ate dinner (minus jessica) and they went to the christmas eve communion service. I wante to go, but they were deacons and were going to serve for 30 min, and I didn't know what I'd do during that time. So I kept jessica company instead.
Then mom and dad and I went looking at christmas lights. haha wowo amazing
then we came home and they sent me to my room so they could wrap presents. haha...
sunday: christmas!!!
haha all we got in our stocking was an orange. haha stupid tradition.... but I got to take my pretty shoes and wore them to church, which jessica didnt go to. Church was good-slim crowd though. But yay for Jesus's birth! Then we came home, and grandpa had said that she was still contagious for 24 hours after her last fever... and she'd spiked a fever of 103.2 that morning... so it was pretty much decided that she couldn't go over to nana's for the normal opening of everyone's gifts. and that mad me upset. because I didn't want to leave her at home on christmas, but I also didn't want to sit at home on Christmas w/ a sick girl. Soo because everyone was jsut standing around not making any decisions I made the plan that we were going to go over to nana's for christmas oyster stew, and open a few gifts w/ aunt carol bc she had to leave for work at 2... bummmerrrr. So we did... ew that stew was gross this year. haha .
then we came back home, and opened all our presents between the family. much fun. I got the 2nd season of one tree hill on dvd. woooo
haha :)
then we went back over to nana's and opened all the presents between everyone. Was good. I got another jack johnson cd! yay.
so my christmas turned out to be very merry, I just hope jessica wasn't too depressed at home for like... 8 hours alone. lol she did watch 7 episodes of my oth dvd. haha she said that made her happy.
then we watched a white christmas.. well part of it. that's such a good movie! it's so unlike any that are made today... and the way they repeat lines cracks me up. and then I went to bed around 12 and could NOT fall asleep until 3. it made me so mad.
uhm so then there's today.
We're going back over to nana's tonight to open the rest of the presents (the ones involving carol and jessica) so I get to see Aibha and Amelia and Erick again! AWWWW Aibha is THE most adorable thing in the world.
I think we're also going to take down our tree because it's starting to die. :(
