Studied like crazy for the engineering test, and I kicked its butt on thursday. :)
I actually was quite productive... even if I did neglect starting my women's studies research paper. (Which I'm really freaking out about btw)
Thanksgiving Break:
Friday!:: got kinda a late start... haha
all the sudden it was 11:10 and the bus was 10 min away if you walk fast and leaving at 11:20. ah!
lol so I set off w/ my stupid huge bag that doesn't have wheels.. (...) and my heaavvyy bookbag and my jacket on top of my bag. yeah, I get probably 1/3 of the way there and I realize I've dropped my jacket somewhere. I asked some random guy to watch my bag bc no way was I carrying it back! lol My jacket was lying way up by my dorm. UGK. So I go back and get my bag and I can like hardly walk in my shoes anymore... I don't know why but I like couldn't hold on to them so I took them off and walked in my socks. lol eww.
So I get there RIGHT as its about to pull away, and she tells me the bus is full. I was like whaaattt?? But there was her manager there behind her w/ a shuttle van thing. So I rode in that instead w/ two corp guys :) haha Soo yeah, we got to the Roanoke airport at 12:25, and their flights weren't till 8 pm. Crazy kids. They said they just couldn't stay there any longer.
Mom picked me up, and we went to the most adorable cafe in hollins and had the most delicious tea and sandwiches, and then she took me home.
later I picked up Jess and clara at the fincastle library and we went home to "chill" for a while and then mom, dad + us went to fast food (haha) and.... Harry Potter!!!
Ahhh Noely and Bethany came too, and we ate lots of Noely's twizzlers and then I felt bad bc I thought Jessica had bought them. but no.
The movie was awesome. and I want to see it again darnit! Stupid $8 movie tickets. thats awful.
Saturday:: uhmmm dont really remember so much the beginning of the day: ohh yeah, we went to joanne's fabric to pick out fabric to cover jessica's chairs in her newly painted room- but she suddenly started feeling bad and mom got mad and we went home.
Dad cleaned and they painted the chairs which looks kinda weird kinda good, and I just got in a fight.
lol saturday sucked
but I went to Elise's party and that was fun. aww now everyone in the acegangs legal. haha
Sunday:: church, nana's :-D (made amelia a sweet purse) and youth to play sardines! haha. took them forEVER to find me and clara. course... it took us forEVER to find matt.. who was just sitting on a couch by the time we got to them. lol :( buttt I forgot to get my CD back from matt and I was very upset bc like 3 times last week I was like man.. I wish I had my cd bc the stereo plays music way better than my computer. oh wellll
Monday:: I actually didn't sleep in THAT much. :) better be proud. Mom gave me a long list of things to do and I did it all + gave mary a bath.. lol it was weird bc I didn't feel like I did that much cleaning (i took long breaks in between things) but mom and dad were all like yay! thank youu so much! i bet your exhausted! when they got home. soo whatever
Tuesday:: dad didn't go to work and we rearranged the computer room. shewweeee what a mess!!!! We hauled probably 15 boxes of crap up to the attic, got rid of a computer and the hideous door on filingcabnets desk and set up jessica's 2nd bed in there since she only put back 1 bed in her new room. It looks really good, and I added shelves to the existing desk and organized it and such. looks nice. :)
Went to River to pick up jessica and I was going to take Amelia home, but Jessica didn't meet her where she said she would so Amelia got on the bus :( lol its ok tho I guess.. she only lives like 5 min away
Went to the Community Thanksgiving church service and got lots of m&ms :) heck yes!
Went to Nana's for pie and visiting.
Went grocery shopping for a buttload of food for our pending company.
Wednesday:: Grandma and Granddad came around 11. Dad got ugly trashcans and mom flipped. Finished cleaning and set up for company. Keith, Jennie, Liz(5th grade) and John(3rd) came after dinner. We played twister with John and Liz and John beat me. grr! haha And Ken Jr, Margaret, Jessica (haha) (8th) Katie(7th) and Rachel (5th) came around 11:30ish.
I had to give up my room to Ken and Margaret :( lol but atleast I had a nice bed in the computer room! lol yay
Thursday:: Thanksgiving! woo.
haha we played lots of pingpong, fooseball, easy money, clue, and sardines
Poor mom cooked like alll day. But mmmm mmmmmm was it good!
Karl, Jamie, Kyle(9th) and Niki(7th) got there after lunch.
I made rolls for dinner. :) they were awesome.
We had turkey, 2 kinds of stuffing, cranberries, sweet potatoe casserole, mashed potatoes, root vegetables, brussle sprouts, green beans, carrots, rolls, and of course gravy. Oh and punch.
MMMM it was good! lol
For dessert there was pumpkin, pecan, chocolate pecan, and apple pies. and chocolate peanut butter fudge all complimentary my aunts. It was awesome.
Friday:: I woke up rather late :) and everyone left while I was in the shower. Some went to downtown Roanoke, and others to see an old house they used to live in. Karl and Jamie ( who slept at Nana's) came and I blowdried my hair while jess talked to them. lol I finished right as they were going downstairs to play pingpong. jess said it made it look like i didn't want to talk to them. opps. that wasn't true.
Karl and Jamie left and took Kyle and Niki to visit Tech (woo!) and home. I didn't get to say bye to Kyle and Niki :(((( I hardly got to see them at all really. Butttt life goes on. there will be other times. Oh! we saw Niki's Nationally award-winning movie! it was so cute. go Niki!
Spent some good ole time w/ the Ken Murphy's bc the Keith murphy's went to visit tech too (John's dream is to get a soccer scholarship here! awwww) lol they came back around 7 I guess.
dad started the bonfire and it mustve been 20 feet high. it was ridiculous. lol and rather scary. The cousin jessica and rachel helped me make fruit salad, and we cooked hobo dinners on the fire. Gosh we got the white table cloth dirty! lol . We had a little "concert" har har and then made banana boats on the fire.. well coals I guess. But mmm!!!
Saturday:: Everyone left in the morning/afternoon, and I didn't really do much. Erin came overrr and it was fun.
Sunday:: church, home for thanksgiving leftovers. ohh but not before dad bought A Series of Unfortunate Events at Blockbuster. haha it was only 50 cents more to buy than rent. And I saw Sarah and Mill Mountain! awww yay. Mom got mad at me and dad bc we started the movie w/o her. so mad she left and didn't even say goodbye to me. or wish me luck on exam week. :( made me mad and sad.
Did laundry again and made blackberry coffee cake w/ dad! mmmmmm
and then made the foggy trek down curvy Catawba to tech. boo.
lol and then here I am again, another Monday night w/ hardly any homework done! AHCK. (well.. I did do one Engineering assignment) but I really must must must must must get on the ball w/ this whole research thing!!!! Classes were ok today... I was tired. haha watched this guy play isketch during Engineering lecture. it was funny- the people couldn't draw.
uhmm so yeah! I got my course request back for next semester. I got all the classes I requested.... except Intro to acting :( boo! lol but its ok I guess. I have 2 more chances to take it. sooo.. cross your fingers for me.
oh, and we have a real trashcan and a flowers in our dorm room! yay.
