I've recently gone to JWTC - Jungle Warefare Training Center for some kick ass Jungle Training. The jungle is nasty!
We did a lot of crazy things out there man... as a finish to the training we went through an E-Course (that E stands for ENDURANCE) and it was mighty crazy. 4.5 miles of hills, rappelling, mud, rain, humidity, more mud, more hills, hasty rappels, and a make-shift stretcher carry for over a kilometer using 3 of our blouses and two sticks.
it was one of the most physical events in my life. we had a photo dude out there named Zoriah. He happened to be an alumni from evergreen HS in vancouver. Ha, that was strange. He knew my friend Kody Bunnell back in the day. So... Here is the Link to his site. He took picts of my squad through the ordeal. I'm wearing my issued glasses (the big ass brown ones) i didn't care if they got busted. You'll see me... I've lost some weight out here too.
http://zoriahphoto.com/Stories/junglewarfare.html The 4th and 6th picts you can tell it's me. The one of the Marines walking in a ranger file i'm in the front then you can see my mug shot.
In other notes... I'm getting on ship here and we are gonna be going somewhere but the location is still under wraps. When we can say I'll let you know.
Next year it's 18 months in Iraq.
Until Next time....
