[Pause.]

If Echo is coming to get me, how are you going to come and get me? And why is everyone acting so weird?

[Sort of long pause while she gets her head around that.] So you're not actually in the phone... Which makes more sense...

[She's pulling a face... which, unsurprisingly, is not audible...]

Oh! Um. I haaave a new name--Milly Demir; he wouldn't let me fix it--I'm nineteen--[Snort.]--I'm unemployed--I live in four... four... um, hang on... [Rustling while she juggles with the phone and the paperwork.] Four-B!

Uhhh.

Those shiny doors are Out Of Order... Will I get into trouble for drawing on the sign?--Oh, Echo worries a lot, Metis talks a lot, Grandma seems confused and Papa's in a bad mood. And there're bad people in the building so it's not safe to be alone.

[Pause.]

And the front doors won't open. Which completely defeats the point in having them.

[Confused.] But Papa seems to know me? [Maybe a little distressed;] He-he's pretending? ... I made Grandma choke ...

Well, where's that? Can't I just go up there instead of waiting? [Perplexed, because the following statement never really happens;] It's making me nervous...

I--oh. Um. No more surprises, then? Like, not telling her about my ghosts? Does she have a dog?

Mm... [Alright, that got a rather more cheerful coo. She's easily pleased.]

I am happy. It's just weird.

[Pause.] Does this mean I'm not in trouble even though if wasn't my fault anyway and I didn't sneak out?

Ugh... [Insert bitching under her breath here. Dogs are the spawn of... something really bad.] Um. I think I'll stick to small doses? Her version of small might be my version of... obvious.

[Satisfied; really far too easy to please >.>] That's good.
