Summary: A little surprise patiently waiting for Annabeh to open it
'Hot, hot!'
Percy accidentally spilled a little of his hot chocolate on his pants only to find a smirk on his girlfriend's face.
'Time for presents!'
Rachel entered the room wearing an elf hat with a blanket covered basket in her hands.
'And Annabeth will open hers first!'
She sat down near the christmas tree and put the basket into Annabeth's lap. As a daughter of Athena surprises weren't really something you would want because they were often dangerous but when her present moved Annabeth jumped of her seat, pulled her dagger and pointed it towards the basket.
'Why is it moving?'
'Well it better be for what we've paid for it.'
Annabeth slowly lifted the cover and to her surprise there was a living creature inside.
'It's a - a - a… '
'… PUPPY!' Rachel finished.
Annabeth was standing speechless before turning to Percy.
'Did you know about this?'
'Well i sort of paid half the price for it.'
'Oh come on!' said Rachel taking the puppy out of it's former bed, holding it next to her face. 'How could you not want this!'
'You know i can't take this right? How am I suppose to take care of a dog when I can hardly look after myself!'
'Well… when you are fighting monsters and all that mumbo-jumbo I can watch it for you. Oh please Annabeth! Just look at it!'
Rachel once again was holding the puppy next to her face but this time Percy joined her on the side both doing the "puppy dog" face. Annabeth scrolled her eyes. She knew they wouldn't stop until she accepted.
'Fine! But only if you both stop doing that stupid face!'
