Title: Same questions, same answers

Notes: Second fic! This is at the begining of "The Lightning Thief" book, before Percy knew that he is a demigod. In this he's 11-12 years old.
It was a typical night and Percy was getting ready for bed. The loud sounds of Sally and Gabe's voices were sneaking through the tightly closed door into his room.
Percy didn't pay much atention to the words that they were saying, because he knew what they were arguing about - him. His ears were only searching for the mentioning of the word "divorce", but every time it was just echoing inside his head.
Percy was just fed up with Gabe and so was his mother. But every time he raised the issue to Sally the only thing he got in return was:"It's better for us this way, Percy. You will see."
He gave out a loud sigh and pulled up the sheets over his head so he can dodge Gabe's loud swearing, but the wall of fabric and wool didn't do much good. Suddenly Sally entered the room, rapidly slamming the door in Gabe's face.
'Sally!' Gabe shouted from the other end of the door 'I'm gonna get you for this!'
After making sure that the danger has passed, Sally sat down, at the edge of Percy's bed, and gave out a loud sigh.
'Still arguing about me?' Percy said uncovering his head from the sheets, without looking at his mother. He just couldn't bеar seeing the pain in her eyes once more.
Sally was just sitting there not saying anything for a minute.
'No... no he's just pissed off, that's all.'
Percy got out of his bed and sat next to his mother, intentionally concentrating his look on the floor. He didn't want to bring that question up again but after a moment of silence his tounge slipped.
''Mom, you don't have to go through this. Why don't you end it? He has no right to do that to us!'
Sally looked up to her son with tears in her eyes and ran her hand through his dark hair.
'Percy, trust me this is better for us! You will see. Now go to sleep and please don't think about this anymore!'
She gave him a light kiss on the forehead and left the room, leaving him to his thoughts.
