tragedy at the corner of edenwood.

so i was about to start an intense game of solitaire showdown with my brother who was using the computer in the basement, and me on the one in the office, when all of a sudden my dad summons me to the front yard to start my job of watering the flowers.

now, i do this everyday. front and back. you may think that's nothing to complain about. well, my parents are gardening freaks, our lawn is just one giant garden, everywhere we can fit a flower in we do. so watering takes ages to complete. and just once you think you're done you remember you still need to water all the hanging plants and the potted plants on the deck.

usually what gets me through it is knowing that once i get to the final flower bed in the front, there is a huge brick wall for me to make my own, all thanks to the jet setting. i write messages for people to see as they walk by or just for my own amusement.

i was pouting all the way through the watering but once i finally got to that wall a smile came over my face. i thought for awhile about what to write this time... and i thought... and thought... and then i realized that while i was thinking i happened to look at the nozzle on the hose. seems like my dad put the perma-shower-mode sprayer on instead of the usual one with many different settings.

shattered! my creativity just came to a complete stop as i couldn't believe what i was seeing. could it be? tonight i wasn't going to be able to use my best friend, the jet setting, to write a special message on the huge wall?

i just couldnt take that. i dont know what came over me but i lashed out against the wall and made a wonderful piece of art that consisted of blobs, drops, drips, and circles of water all which came together to make tonight's masterpiece.

what's the moral, you ask? change is not bad, change is not good, change is great! i had fun being mad at the hose and creating something beautiful for the neighbours to see. and now i wont care about what head is on the hose. each day will have a surprise in store for me! and that makes me excited to water the flowers.

this was based on a true story.
