(no subject)
Hello everyone!
I know I haven't posted in forever. Life has been happening at an accelerated rate, so I apologize.
I am here today to ask for two simple favors...
One: I have submitted my resume to another theatre chain that is looking for a member of management. I believe I have all the skills and knowledge and they could possibly need, so you would think it a slam-dunk, but... please keep me in your thoughts, prayers, send good karma, whatever you think could help. I would really like this job.
Two: Does anyone know of an unbelievable job opening I may be qualified for? I have decided it is time to look for gainful employment elsewhere and I was hopeful I could turn to my friends for assistance.
Why all the job searching, you may ask?? Simple. I HATE FOOD SERVICE !!! I had successfully avoided it for 36 years (with the exception of the one hour I worked for McDonalds and the two nights I worked as a host at a Big Boy) and I simply want out now. I hate going to work every day. I hate people because of it. People are mean, with unrealistic expectations, when it comes to dining out. You are eating a meal served to you at a movie theatre!!??!! You are expecting 5-star cuisine?? I am tired of people who don't tip, walk out on their bill, eat their entire meal and THEN complain about it.
Don't get me wrong. I still love the movie business. Thus, the reason I submitted a resume to another chain. I also am not opposed to pursuits outside the theatre world. Although I love the movies, it would be nice to work a job with regular hours. I have stayed where I am for over a year now due to the people and the promises that have been made. I have decided, however, that promises aren't enough anymore. I need to be happy now.
So again, if you could just send me any good thoughts and possible job leads, I could really use both right now.
