the dvd drive on my grandfather's laptop recently stopped being able to burn dvds and has a hard time recognizing them. i looked online and apparently the brand of drive is really crappy (matshita or something). i want to replace the drive with a good brand (sony or pioneer), but it has a weird bezel on it, like an asymmetrical elongated trapezoid or something.
i want to know if it is possible to remove the bezel from the old drive and snap it onto a new optical drive. the computer is an hp dv6000 and the drive is a matshita uj-851 if that is important.
thanks!
