So, yes, I had the embarrassing job of being the MC for the Talent Contest, but it wasn't that awful. I felt for poor Kiraku-kun, though. He seemed very embarrassed by his gaffs, and I could only offer him encouragement on his way off-stage, but I don't know if he really wanted it then. By the way, I hear that everyone who came to watch, even if they didn't participate, will get the "points" for participating. Anyone else heard about that?
Tutoring went better yesterday, now that my mouth isn't hurting so much that I can't concentrate. Algebra isn't one of my strongest subjects, so we spent most of the allotted time on that. I went over some Japanese Lit too, since I'll be having a test on that a week after I get back from camp. I'm just glad we don't have any homework or essays or anything to work on unless we want to. I like having more free time than usual.
The snowball fight got a little intense thanks to some people doing their best to hurt rather than have fun. I ended up leaving that area and coming back inside for some hot cocoa. Yanagi-san makes it very well, with whipped cream and marshmallows. ^^ I'll be back outside in a bit, and hopefully I'll find a quiet area to build a snowman in. Anyone not interested in fighting is free to join me!
Doubles with Hirakoba-san later today is going to be interesting, especially against Kikumaru-san and Shishido-san. I'll be the weakest player, as I normally don't do well in doubles, so I hope I don't drag Hirakoba-san down too much.
