My Saturday was uneventful.

I woke up full of excitement - Frank was going to record Bearkat upstairs in Katy's apartment, and I was looking forward to a day that I could devote to songwriting with zit cream on my face. I awoke, ate breakfast, showered, dabbed the cream on my spots and was sitting at my computer when in walked Katy and Kyle,

I love the hat. It's very you. I'm sorry about your day. I've had a couple of days like that recently . . . I applaud you for refusing to leave your parking spot. I'd imagine that living around LA would help you actually say the things that you'd otherwise only think about saying . . . and I mean that in a good way. It was like when I spent my last year in Boston temping and I used to get so frustrated that I began doing things like flipping off people in their car who would nearly run me over etc etc. It probably wasn't a good idea, but it was always liberating, and life is too short to let yourself be bulldozed into the ground
