More firsts...

First full-time job: Pottery Barn Customer Service. I know I know, not my first choice, but then again the benefits are good and I need something stable that I'm good at. Everyone is great, except for the high school girl I had to bust last night for doing her homework on the sales floor and talking to her BFF OMG LOLZ on the phone while I actually helped people. Honey if work gets in the way of high school then tone it down and reassess your priorities. I felt like an ass and a tattle tail for having to confront a superior about her the first time I ever worked with her but seriously that's ridiculous. AAANYWAY things are good and the job should go fine.

First ticket: No, not my first ticket ever (Madeline, remember the moving violation I got when I was with you on your campus? I still say that was jacked) but my first ticket since moving to Los Angeles. I totally forgot to move my car for the street cleaner yesterday morning, and woke up this morning to remember what I'd done, ran out and sure enough I owe the city of Los Angeles $50 for being forgetful.

Other than the last thing life is good. I love living with Frank and Martin. Tuesday I came home from work and put on a face mask and then Martin got home and when he opened the door I was washing dishes with a facemask on - it was like a scene from a movie. It was pretty funny.

Frank and I are Fat Smashing again. I've lost 5 pounds in the last two weeks so I'm really proud of myself and I want to keep it up. I need to get my YMCA membership card today.

I have today off from work. Fortunately I have things to do, because I watched all my Gilmore Girls DVDs so if I didn't have errands to run I don't know what I'd do with myself!

Katy is in town and it's glorious! I love her. I rushed home last night to catch the new season of Top Model and when I got home Katy was already there watching it. Then we watched three episodes of Gilmore Girls. UGHGVGHFGCCHGFHGHGVJHV. She got an apartment and told me where it is but swore me to secrecy. I'm so glad she's here. Have I mentioned I love her?

Friends in LA - I have not forgotten you, I am simply a busy lady, and so are you guys. I practically have to have my people call Eric's people to get anything done, and fortunately there's an open window for me to catch Madeline while she's in town today. I still haven't even called Erin, and that makes me feel like a very bad friend.

The AES convention in NY is in two weeks! I get to see all my Boston/New York friends!

To Do:

-YMCA card
-pay ticket
-grocery shop
-look for curtains for bedroom
-take car to shop to get blinker replaced (I also have a freon leak, but that will be really expensive and it's not as important as the blinker...if it isn't one thing it's another)
-clean bedroom
-call Erin
-call Age
-call Madeline
-call Frank for flight info

OK GO!

los angeles, travel, frank, my job
