London Underground
The show last night went well.
I think we attempted to record it live, but not sure how it came out. More on that in the near future.
I'm overwhelmed with music right now, but in a good way.
Last night I had my show. Tonight I have 2 practices, one with Matty for his benefit concert at Rocks' where I'll be jumping up on stage for a song or two and then my other practice is with my birthday party band. Then I have practice with Reid for his gig tomorrow night at Tsunami's, so I guess that I really have 3 practices tonight. *sigh*
I had no idea how many opportunities would arise from starting one little band for my neighbor's bday party, which then flourished into what I now know as London Underground which has then branched out into being invited to sing with various artists around town. I'm talking with this other guy about doing a little blues night on a Sunday night at Legends in the next couple of weeks... where will I find the time to practice with him? who knows, but I'm so thankful for all of these opportunities.
Things are going really well with Reid and me, we're having a good time together and simply rediscovering how much fun we have together. It's very much like before, but this time with a new freshness that I can't quite describe.
He's making plans to take me out for my actual birthday and no matter what he plans, I'm so excited. Never in all my years has anyone other than my mother taken initiative to plan something for my birthday. I've even had friends who canceled on me the day of, when I had made plans and reservations for us to get a hotel in Hollywood, so we could go dancing and then crash there, instead I ended up watching free HBO in my hotel alone for my 20th bday. Not that I'm singing a woe-is-me song about that, I'm just thrilled and honored that someone finally made plans for my bday, not that I mind planning my bdays usually, as I am very particular about what I want to do, but this year is different and I'm so excited.
Plus I'm still in charge of the big birthday party next Saturday November 19! It's going to be off the hook.
Well, I'm off to lunch.
