I don't know why i watch awards shows...i just get really bored and annoyed when people like beyonce sing. at least little miss sunshine is representing pretty well. if children of men wins anything, i'll call it a good night. i can't believe someone called michael mann one of our greatest american "artists" ahhh, i just get so annoyed...why do i do this? i am just so unmotivated this week.
so i overheard a really fun conversation today...actually i wasn't paying attention to what anyone was saying until it ended with "and don't get pregnant." i kind of wish i had heard what led up to the line.
the first sound judgment came out on thursday...i guess it's cool that it actually happened.
I went to the deerhoof concert at the werehouse friday night with mike, colin and sarah. it was definitely one of the most bizarre shows i've ever attended. it was nice not to have to drive an hour+ to get to the show, but i guess i had never really experienced the winston-salem "art" scene. so many indie beards and skinny jeans. and a really weird guy who danced spasmodically, by himself, for a majority of the concert. his dancing may actually have been more entertaining than the band itself (probably because i couldn't see over the enormous jerks who planted themselves right in front of me). i just barely managed to get arcade fire tickets on friday morning, when i commandeered someone's laptop in the pit. it was so sketchy, but worth it. it'll be a nice way to celebrate the end of classes.
still no exciting plans for spring break...i suck at life.
finally the academy decided to give martin scorcese an oscar. i'm so glad it wasn't for the aviator. man, i guess i should do homework now.
