So, New York was freaking amazing!!! I saw the best shirt in the world at Chinatown that I wanted to get for Josh so badly. I said: "FedSex When you absolutely have to get it overnight" Haha! It was great. We got there around 5:30 in the morning (Mrs. Dray didn't wake us up until the very second we were supposed to get off the bus = no make-up for the G-RO) and got on the Stanton Island Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty in passing. I sat with Jimmy and Meg listening to Say Anything. It was glorious. We got off and saw Ground Zero for the billionth time and then went to Planet Hollywood for breakfast... Mmmmm Bacon. We wandered around Chinatown for a while and got shooed off by a few Chinese people who didn't think I wanted to buy anything, so in the long run the only things I bought on the trip was food and programs. Then we went to John's Pizzeria and after that we saw Grand Central Station.
Spamalot was the funniest show! We saw the understudy for the Lady of the Lake and she didn't ave that good of a voice and it looked like she was trying too hard. The guy who was the singing salesclerk in the "That's on eBay" commercial played several roles in the show as well! I saw him 3 years ago as Jimmy in "Thoroughly Modern Millie". Both times I tried to get his autograph- both times I failed because he either left before I got out there or he never came out! Darn it. I got the understudy Lady of the Lake's autograph anyway. Mr. Weaver didn't tell me until it was too late that the guy she was with played Lancelot. Darn the bad luck. Oh well.
More wandering around. We went into several Broadway stores and I saw "Into the Woods" and "Sweeny Todd" memorobilia. In the first Broadway store they wouldn't stop playing "Sweeny Todd". ARGH!!!
We had dinner at Connely's and it was fabulous!
The Drowsy Chaperone was absolutely amazing! We got the opportunity to see the original cast and thet were absolutely flawless! I was so excited! I could quote so much from it, but it's funnier in person. But the person who plays Amy's mom in the show "Everybody Loves Raymond" was in it and she was wonderful. This is truely a must-see show.
December brings hopes of "Les Miz" and "A Chorus Line". Nulte, Jimmy, and Meg tell me good things about "A Chorus Line" and I cannot wait at all!
As for today, I missed the bus and decided this would be a great opportunity to finish all my homework I never did instead of having my mom yell at me about having to drive me to the school. *le sigh* Today should be interesting...
"I don't wanna show-off no more..."
