St. Patrick's Day on the South Side

This weekend has been pretty fantastic. Beth Luber (my future roommate) came home with me and we talked all the way to Chicago about different music and stuff. We played a game where I had to guess the title and the artist of the songs we were listening to. I didn't do very well. I actually did very badly, but she was nice about it and only laughed a little...a little lot, but still. Then our friend John-Paul stopped by to stay over Friday before continuing on to Champaign (for Koinonia at Newman). It was, as Beth said, "Like being in junior high again." Although I'm not sure I agree because I was just awkward and silent in junior high.

Then Saturday was the baptism of my cousin Mara Roseann Polanek. It was glorious, obviously. And then a party type thing afterwards. And then I got to babysit her with my friend Beth and my little sisters.

Then today, Sunday, after mass we ran around the house cleaning up and getting things ready for the party that was going to be at our house. There were about 15 people in the kitchen at one time. It was insane. And I got to see Mara again. I'm sorry, but babies are so cute! And plus, she's such a smilely little baby. *sigh* That's about all that's happened so far this weekend. Oh, my little sister bought the expansion pack for SIMS 2 and doesn't actually have SIMS 2, so I get to take it back to school with me.....bwahahahahahahahahaha! Yeah, nothing's going to get done. Bite me.

That's pretty much it. I'm waiting for the bus and then going back to Champaign for four days before returning to Chicago and then heading off to Canada with Khadijat! Yay for spring break!
