I'm a dolt
So I spent another evening with Raincheck-date. I'm almost sure she knows I like her, and I think she wants me too admit it. We were talking about gender differences, man this girl is so smart, anyway she says something like "I'm not a big fan of gender differences, but I think they can be necissary." So I ask "in what cases?" I love how I don't always agree with her and I can actually learn more, or see things in a different way when I don't. She said she thinks guys should ask girls out. I don't entirely agree with this, but I love her arguement. Girls, she believes have an easier time telling guys how they feel, and men don't so it's good for them. I obviously proved her point. I didn't pick up on the fact that this might be a subtle hint for me to spill the beans and told her that I find it really attractive when women innitiate a relationship. I'm not sure if this was two adults exchanging ideas and opinions or a game of: "you admit that you like me...no you admit that you like me." I was absolutely too stupid to remedy this malady for the entire duration of the evening
So I've been trying to think of a way to tell her "I like you, but I'll be leaving soon, so dating would be more for fun than anything else...why not." I'm really afraid this will come off as "whether or not you like me, you should go out with me anyway because I'll be gone soon." definetly tacky and dishonest. I need to do something suave like calling her and just saying "I'm asking you on a date," and if she says yes, and she haves fun, I'll ask her on another. I really do think the problem is that I don't know how she feels so I can act really awkward around her. I can solve this problem by just getting it out in the air, so now you come in. I call upon the Livejournal community to suggest free or cheap and fun dates for me, and do it quickly because I'm beginning to look like a bum. I was thinking about asking her out to a restaurant and saying that we had to overdress just for fun. help me expand.
