(no subject)
Spent today in Boone. I couldn't see Adam, because he is still crazy sick. Which sucks, because I was looking forward to it, but it's cool. He needs his rest. Besides, it's not like I won't be up there again soon anyway. I'm averaging once a month at this point. It was cool though. I drove around (and actually, by some strange miracle, was able to navigate and know where I was going. Er, except for the hunt I went on to try and get to the park me and Matt went to last time I was up there.) I discovered that turning around at the top of steep mountains is not my favorite thing to do. No one asked for my autograph this time. But, I did have some guy flip me off and make some weird face at me while I was at a stop sign coming down a mountain. So that was pretty cool.
I didn't really do anything other than drive around until 730 when Matt got off work. Discovered that I am pretty addicted to the Arcade Fire. I listened to like, 3 hours worth of their CD today in my car. Good stuff.
Anyway, Matt got off work at 730. We went to the coffee shop next to his place. The interview actually only took about a half hour. After that, we just sat and talked for a while. Which was my favorite part of the day. We used o talk all the time. About everything. The last time we had a decent conversation that didn't involve my paper or anything school related was the last time I was there. And, well, we all know how much fun that one was. So I don't count it, because that pretty much just sucked, a lot. Making the last time we had a good conversation over a month ago. That is far too long ago for my liking. So we both agreed to make more of an effort, which makes me happy. I may still be a little bitter (I'd be lying if I said I wasn't) but I am, for the most part, over what happened and really just miss feeling like we're friends. I am pretty pleased with how today went.
And now that it is midnight and I have to be up at 7am for class, I am going to blow off whatever homework I was going to do tonight and go to bed. Awesome.
PS. thanks for all the responses lately! I know people read this (because I am told so, thanks Matt! btw, I actually am glad you read this, since we don't get to talk much. Meant to tell you that tonight and forgot) and it's nice to have proof lately in the form of comments. It's something this thing hasn't seen in a long ass time. I swear to get back to you guys this week. Right now, I am pretty beat.
