Huh, talk about ingrained conditional response. I turn my head for a moment to talk to dad and turn back in time to see a huge cockroach feeling its way up my arm.
My first reaction was to go "Eeek!" which dad probably thought was my chair squeaking. Otherwise the cockroach would have spent the last 2 seconds of its life gazing up at the underside of my dad's slipper.
I picked up the wiggly thing and chucked it over the compound wall. No to worry.. it flew away.
Sunny daag finally met someone smaller than him today. Wish I could put up the pic I clicked. Sarvesh and Sunny got along just fine. The donkey was actually very grown up and well behaved today. He even stood by and fanned Sarvesh's 3 month old baby brother with his tail for a full 5 minutes, while the baby rocked and squealed from complete delight. Cat, of course, was also very well behaved. He made a guest appearance at lunchtime, and upon seeing two kids under 3 feet tall, turned tail and ran for fear of being picked up. Cat prefers more sedate souls less inclined to pick him up and do things to his tail.
Me going to put khaled cd into the player and rock likewise to ze drums. I only hope my biochem presentation doesn't suffer for all the jigging, cos I need to draw the slides still :D
I'm camping out on the floor (sleepingbag!!!) cos there are ants on my bed. Woe is me, chased out of my own comfy bed by a bunch of boundry-violating Formicidae. Yaha.
So, how was your day?
love,
cat,
daag,
