Q: When will KENT release a new record ?

Jan 12, 2007 17:17

In Autumn 2007!
Early November 2006 Kent went to Allaire Studios, Shokan, New York State, to start the recording of their seventh album.
The album is produced by Jon "Joshua" Schumann together with Kent.
The session in Allaire Studios was finished November 21 and will continue in Stockholm during the winter and spring.

Some fun info about the new record - Jocke (mastermind of the band) wrote this in a topic (translated from Swedish):
"We don't care at all if the songs will be able to do live this time. It's so limited.
If we want to use a Japanese chainsaw choir we'll do that.
This record will NOT sound like some idiots from Tuna in some fucking rehearsal room - It will sound like some idiots from Tuna who have gone bananas.
Totally."

By the way, Harri Mänty (Rhythm guitar) took the decision to leave the band when they planned the new record. He did it because of lack of motivation. Kent will now continue as a band with four members.
