NEW Sia!

Australian mellow electronica voice Sia will release a new solo full-length CD this fall entitled "Some People Have Real Problems".
Yay, finally! She only released a Live-EP including a new studio track some months ago, but the last all new studio album is dated back to 2004 ("Colour The Small One" - kick ass album!)
Information according to MusicRemedy.com:
The new collection of music is at once upbeat, quirky, and achingly gorgeous, featuring incredible song writing and lush arrangements to frame Sia’s stunning vocals. Sia also enlisted the help of a few talented friends when recording Some People Have Real Problems, including Beck, who sings on a track called "Academia".(...)

The video for standout track "Buttons" has already garnered Sia a bit of attention after being posted by blogger Perez Hilton.
The video has taken off virally, charting as the #1 most linked and #2 most viewed clip on YouTube the week it was leaked onto the Internet.
Her reaction regarding this happening can be gleaned here ;).

Further info, found on her website, is that the album will contain a (yet to be done ?) selection of the following tracks:
Little Black Sandals, Lentil, Day Too Soon, You Have Been Loved, The Girl You Lost to Cocaine, Academia, I Go To Sleep, Playground, Death By Chocolate, Soon We'll Be Found, Electric Bird, Beautiful Calm Driving, Lullaby, Buttons.

Lyrics for all the songs can be found here. There you can also submit your designed artwork for the new album ;)....

So well, it seems that Sia indeed gets a bit more upbeat when taking into account her last 'single' "Pictures", and now "Buttons". But then again songs like "Lentil" and "I Go To Sleep" which might also be featured on the album are rather like the songs from "Colour The Small One". Either way is very fine with me as this only shows her ability to vary. I'm pretty sure that you won't be able to compare the new album with its predecessor, and not even to mention her debut "Healing Is Difficult".
