Our cat Sydney died suddenly last night. We don't yet know what happened, just that Ben found her last night and she had already died. I don't even know what else to say, we are all so devestated. She was 7 and a half years old. Here's a cute picture I found of Syd on our trip west last summer.
I miss you, baby Sydney, you were my first cat as a grown up, and you brought so much personality to our house, I just can't imagine it without you.
We had no warning at all. She showed no signs of being ill. Please go hug your animals and tell them you love them.
edit: we've been told that she had a heart condition that would she would likely have died from at some point, and certainly lived longer than she might have. After reading some of the possible symptoms that she might have suffered through, I am truly glad that she just died quickly. She may have not even felt it.
