(no subject)
So I had a busy week as far as music has been concerned. Tuesday I went and saw Regina Spektor at the Crystal Ballroom with Tim. She is amazing live. I had a good time except for the fact that everyone standing in front of me was taller than I was so it was nearly impossible for me to see anything. About every 5-10 minutes or so the seas would part and I would get a head shot. Not to mention there was a groupie behind us singing to every song. Now I don't mind if everyone is singing along, but if you've heard her music, most of it should be sung by her and her alone. I think the best was when this rather petite woman with her cute little voice said "fuck" because she had forgotten how a song went. Quite funny. I also really enjoyed her opener, the man had an iPod for a band and huge hair. You can't go wrong. He's on my friends list if anyone cares. That's Only Son......with an "O".
Earlier that day I had found out that Jasmine had won tickets to see the Kaiser Chiefs live at a small intimate show downtown during the day today before they were due to perform at the show that Tim and Mary went to at the Crystal Ballroom. That in it self is awesome, but she said that she wanted to take me with her! Which I thought was freaking sweet because while I only knew a couple of their songs seeing anyone live and in that small of a setting is just cool and I haven't really hung out with Jas solo so that was cool too. And they were really good live, so I really enjoyed myself and now need their new album as I am hooked. They each signed the poster which is now hanging in my room for all to see.
So I am having a good musical week. I also lost 1.6 lbs, only a couple more to go until that keychain. Yah tell that to the Loaded Dryers Butterfinger ice cream that is in my freezer and oh soooo delicious. Hehe yah it's damn good.
