A summary of Umineko's End
because people keep asking me D;
let me just start off by saying I REALLY LOVED IT OK the end was perfect to me. But the majority of the internet seems to hate it.
The true culprits are Kyrie and Rudolf. The opportunity was provided to them to kill everyone on the island, and take the gold & escape.
Kyrie and Rudolf coerce Battler into becoming an accomplice. Battler takes the opportunity to fake Shannon's death. They hide and escape via boat.
Shannon was extremely grief stricken because she caused the opportunity for events. Battler as well, considering his entire family just blew up.
Translation is a little sketchy, either Shannon & Battler form a suicide pact, or Shannon falls from the boat and drowns.
Battler tries to save Shannon, but almost drowns as well.
He (iffy translation) washes up on a shore. Hachijou Touya finds him.
Battler is so traumatized from the events, he forgets everything.
Touya is helping him remember, together they write the Umineko story.
Episodes 1-2 are Shannon, 3-4 are Touya, 5-8 are Battler.
Final video/bgm of the series. Battler finds Shannon again, in the Golden Land.
Speculation:
Erika is one of Battler's ex-girlfriends.
Erika states that Battler will be the one who kills her during their duel. Ideas are that she killed herself because of him.
Lambda is a cake. Lambdacake.
Random tidbits:
Will and Lion are off in another kakera playing badminton.
Bern is the name of Touya's cat.
Eva sees Ange as the daughter she never had, and loved her all along.
Rudolf switched Kyrie & Asumu's babies at birth. So Kyrie is Battler's mother.
Genji met Kinzo when they lived in Taiwan. Kinzo tried to convince Genji to leave Taiwan before the war but . . .
