First ever Industry event in my first year at this new school = amazing. I was the only game art student that got to go, the rest were game programmers.
My first alcoholic bar drink ever - cranberry vodka. It tasted kinda like medicine. I'm also a light weight, and it made me pretty sleepy after the first drink.
There was a press-photographer and Alex kept posing for the camera. He was pretty drunk lol.
It was much fun because of friends.
It kind of excites me that I'll be able to work hard but play just as hard, as the event showed. It's kind of 'glamorous' like Hollywood (with music, drinking, food, socializing/networking), but on a geeky level. Totally awesome.

I also am very much lagging it on hw. I don't feel like touching it :(

The cat thing worked out, and I finally got a cat! (after wanting one for years). I am totally in love.
Nick and I had the apartment alone w/ the cat this weekend as his roomie went home. That was fine though because we got to bond with the cat, and it's warmed up to us, and he willingly sleeps or sits next to me.
The cat's 3 years old apparently, and I'm kind of glad we picked him. He's not very playful - he wont initiate it - and it pretty laid back. I kind of prefer it to an energetic thing though (like the dog). It's also pretty smart, and actually goes in the liter box. I was scared of that since a few of my friends have cats that go everywhere, but we don't have that prob with the cat.
The only problem is the claws. I have quite a few claw stabs, and scratches. Idk what I wanna do about that. I kinda wanna try pedipaws versus the nail cutter.
Ughhhh I love this cat.
