significant differences between D.Gray-Man and Zone mythos

(I'm basing all of this on what's seen in Zone canon- if there's information from fanbooks or interviews or such that I'm missing or got wrong, please let me know!)

Innocence
Innocence is never referred to by name in Zone, and it is likely Innocence as it exists in D.Gray-Man- that is, the 109 cubes of God Matter scattered throughout the world- does not exist in Zone.  Either way, I'm going to play Robin on the assumption that she at least has not heard the term "Innocence".

Anti-Akuma weapons
In Zone, how anti-Akuma weapons are created is never addressed.  Zone’s anti-Akuma weapons might be forged from some sort of holy matter like Innocence, although it's also possible they're enchanted or have some other sort of holy property or significance that gives them their power.  They are not bound to a specific user and will activate on their own accord for anyone deemed worthy. Anti-Akuma weapons have rankings and can exist for ages, passed down through generations of Exorcists.  An individual Exorcist can possess multiple weapons. Robin, despite being an Akuma, is not harmed by anti-Akuma weapons (at least not by touching them) because she's an Exorcist.

Exorcists
Not much is known about the Zone Exorcists. Robin and Cross are the only Exorcists seen or mentioned, and it's never made clear whether or not Cross is a General.  It's unknown how the Exorcists in Zone are organized, or how many of them exist.  Anti-Akuma weapons seem to be able to pick and choose their wielders, and presumably anyone who is able to activate an anti-Akuma weapon is able to become an Exorcist.

I'm just going with headcanon and assuming that Cross is indeed a General and that the Black Order does exist in Zone canon.

Akuma
The process for creating Akuma in Zone is a bit different. The Earl himself still appears before the bereaved, but instead of asking them to simply speak a name, he asks them to sign a paper contract to resurrect their loved one’s soul. After doing so, the soul is trapped within a masked, robotic body, and the Earl stabs the contract’s signer through the chest with his sword. Their skin melts away, and is transferred over to the robotic shell. The completed Akuma wears the skin to blend into society and is powered by the soul brought back through the contract.  The bound soul is aware of what it is being forced to do, but unable to stop itself.

The subject of Akuma evolution is never brought up. The Akuma shown in Zone do not resemble any of the Levels from D.Gray-Man, and it’s possible that either they do not follow the same evolution path as their counterparts, or the Zone Akuma do not evolve at all.  The Akuma seen appear to possess horns, demonic wings, some sort of energy weapon, and their true forms appear to be bizarre non-humanoid robots.

Converted Akuma in D.Gray-Man behave very differently from Robin, the only converted Akuma seen in Zone. Robin has freewill, her Akuma programming is suppressed indefinitely and she cannot safely switch between her Akuma and human form. She is even able to handle and activate an anti-Akuma weapon, and being in the presence of the Earl does not increase her blood lust.  Also note that Robin does not have the Akuma blood virus, either because she's converted or because it doesn't exist in Zone canon.
