A beginning near the beginning. [Action/Voice]

[At the beach, in the foam of the shore, there will be a boy in white pants being occasionally hit by the low tide. He will be sleeping peacefully in a straight, faced up position. Although that won't matter in 1 minute because he's going to open his eyes at that time. He wakes up to an orange sky; clouds only thinly covering small parts and ( Read more... )

Good question. Where are you?

[Another voice from this book? Leon had already gotten up to pick up the book when the first voice actually gave him a location. This voice only questioned him back. It seemed to Leon, he didn't know where Leon was either. Although with that tone, he makes it sound like he can see where Leon is.]

... Is there a map somewhere in here?

[He started flipping through the pages. This book was really odd. It was obviously not an ordinary book, but there are weird symbols and the pages just seem endless the more he flips.]

There might be. [...that was actually a good question. He didn't doubt there was, but he didn't know where, exactly.] But if you tell me where you are, I can probably tell you how to get back to the village.

[He looked around.]

I'm on a beach.

[How did he know? There were sand and a vast body of water with no land in sight. Plus he saw a crab and a seashell.]

Unless you want to try and make it through the mountains on bare feet, you should look for the teleporting device. That'll bring you into the village.

[Oh. Well who needs a map when you can teleport?]

This book can teleport...?

[He started looking for it; flipping carefully, yet still skimming. He saw a few symbols here and there, but he wasn't sure what teleporting should look like.]

What does the device look like?

N-no, not the book. [...maybe he should have been more clear.] I'm talking to you through the book. The journal serves as a form of communication.

Uh... As for the device, I suppose you should look for something that seems out of place. Something you can stand on.

[It's weird for him to talk about. Teleporting does not work like that in his world.]

[Well that was anticlimactic; disappointing. Not that it mattered though. As long as he could get out of here and find out what's happened to him, he's not going to complain yet. He started walking around.]

Would you happen to know where it is?

There should be a small fort on the beach. It should be somewhere near there.

That will have to do.

[He was starting to feel cold. He thought "If I stay here any longer, the water could get to me..."
He did come out of water after all. He had to start running. A fort should be easy to find.
As he ran, he couldn't help but notice he's lost everything; down to his clothes.]

Where are my clothes?

[He asked in a bit of demand. He wasn't sounding forceful; more up-standing? He certainly isn't mad at him or anything, since he sounds like he's helping.]

[Caesar doesn't seem too bothered by his tone, though. The other man is a New Feather, so he can understand that there might be some frustration. It's definitely not the worst attitude he's seen from a New Feather, at least!]

If you didn't find them anywhere nearby, you'll have to wait until you reach the village. You can find them in the stores. Free, of course.

[Right now, he's just "What...?"]

Why are they in the stores?... Wouldn't that mean others can get them?

I suppose that they could. Most people only take what's theirs, though, so it shouldn't be a problem. That's just where those Malnosso jerks put everything, I guess.

Malnosso? They must be the ones behind this...

That would be them. Unfortunately, their appearances are rather scarce, so I wouldn't worry about going after them right now.

[That was usually what New Feathers wanted to do when they showed up, wasn't it? They never wanted to take things lying down, which was... you know, pretty reasonable.]

[He made it to the teleporter in the fort and looked at the platform.]

If I ever find them, I'm making sure they bring me back to my world...

[He stepped into the portal.]

I'll make sure of it.

[The teleporter activated as soon as he finished.]
