How's my Drive
If you know Leon well, give an opinion of how I'm doing. If there's something I'm missing, go ahead and spell it out to me. If you want to leave a confidence/ego booster, I wouldn't mind. If I'm terribly terribad or just bad somewhere, let me know with a good reason or two. After all, if I'm going to be Leon, I have to be a perfectionist.
I see that everything is very reasonable and more true than not. I would just like to defend myself on a few parts (I also have a question or two). I was trying to make it so Leon would have to ask for help.
It's the sick season and closing in on winter, he came out of the water and was lying in the beach for a few hours. It takes him a good while to make it home too. Leon couldn't even make it to the general store for flu medicine (Or wasn't given a chance), but it was clear he was severely weakened. I also hinted that his sickness probably wasn't the flu; the poor health could be caused by some other disease.
That being said, he wouldn't be able to go to the bakery (Or any place with food for that matter) because as the days pass, he only becomes weaker. So. Weakened by no food, and sickness only getting worse, he has no option than to ask someone for help. If he doesn't, he dies. I should also mention he came back on November 25th and the day he asks for help is 3 days after; the 28th.
Is that reasonable enough?
Please don't be discouraged and speak with full thoughts on the matter. By being the character, I would like to abide by the character.
Also, just assuming "ship" meaning "giving him another love life", I won't be shipping him with Kotomi. His heart and mind will always be with Marian, so there's nothing to worry about in that area. I will have to admit though, I may have been craving a bit for CR. I should really look after that. No such thing as personal feelings when it comes to acting, right?
At the very least though, he sees everyone in a platonic manner.
The writing style area... Probably just my indecisive mind always getting to me. I will have to talk to someone else about improving in that area. I'm sorry for the unappealing sight of my style. I still try to improve as much as I can.
For my question: You didn't really explain Marian, though Chaltier is agreeable (This is assuming you meant by how he treats them). Although Leon doesn't want to mention Marian to the group, it has nothing to do with how he treats her. It's either Marian doesn't need to be mentioned or it's his business and not their's.
In my opinion, Leon truly loves Marian, despite age difference. He also thinks she has a motherly atmosphere, but he said himself, he wanted to show he has grown up. He wanted her to see him as an equal instead of a child. I interpreted it as his want for Marian to love him romantically because even his subconscious knows she's not actually his mother and he didn't want her acting as his mother anymore.
More reasons as to why I think he loves her romantically is because in the Proust Drama CDs, Leon would dance with Marian and would even try to pass her as his partner for some Dance Party (Or a ball). Although I don't believe the Proust Drama CDs can be a part of the ToD:DC canon (and it shouldn't be for some/most parts), it at least shows how Leon thinks/thought.
All-in-all though, Leon should be more unapproachable in most situations, and I need to improve my writing. I just tried to bring up the bar for "approachable" as much as possible. To do so... He had to pretty much be dying.
I can't defend most of the first Kotomi post though. Really, I think he should've just walked away; let the other RPer decide whether they should have CR.
