I like that smoke detectors are required in homes. I like that they are required in bedrooms. I like that the modern ones seem to synchronize with each other so if there's smoke in one room, they all go off.
But i do not like it when the entire house goes off b/c of my poor cooking skills. Did I silence the queen alarm? why yes, yes I did, and all the others went quiet.
am I chopping and cooking in the cold b/c windows are open all over the house? yes.
am I opening my stove again to try and deal with the drippings that are turning to charcoal? No, no I am not. I am letting my chicken cook at a lower temperature, for longer, and not opening the oven. ever.
