I am kind of frustrated today.
I bought some RAM for my powerbook to get it up to speed before I go and record Ben May's album. This is my temporary solution to not having a dedicated audio workstation like a powermac. I am fairly savvy to the ways of technology and made sure the RAM I was ordering would work with my powerbook. In an unfortunate turn of events I discovered that my laptop will not accept the RAM, which is not the first time I have run into a hardware issue with this particular powerbook. So, now I am forced into an early decision about getting a powermac to use a workstation. I would be elated if the cost did not equate to three thousand dollars.
I am trying to be as calm and collected when facing these kinds of issues because in the scheme of things they are very small.
In other news, I finished the documentary, which I must say, is quite rewarding. With each session of using Logic I am getting quite familiar with the way things work. Logic is definitely a much more complicated program than Pro Tools but at the same time is incredibly powerful and versatile.
I also discovered the feature I have yet to begin working on is premiering at SXSW. I was planning on going anyways but seeing my name on screen at the festival is going to make my life.
I love my friends and my band. I hope to see my friends see my band on December 15th!
