I'm the cynical one.
She's more affectionate. She holds the camera.
"Look, can't you just be you?" she implores.
faithful as a wife.

Because two people falling in love
have everything to lose and nothing to gain,
what we give each other is not
helpless limb-wrapping climaxes,
I confess, but empathy, acid-bit
by truth, that highly discriminating love
that needs no body.
