Windows and laundry are done. I found those...things you mentioned, but it didn't look like they had any that weren't poisonous. Guess that doesn't really matter though, since you said you'd prefer if they were.

You got that cat thing wrapped up, or did you want me to handle that? It was a pain in the ass finding clothes that fit this morning as it was, so don't blame me if I don't sound really excited about dragging around something that's dead.

...Why keep it?

My, my! Were your clothes also taken by the thief I've seen people speculating over?

And that is correct. Only the poisonous fish will do: I wish to learn how to prepare fugu properly. If fugu is not properly prepared, the one who has eaten it will become paralyzed and slowly suffocate, never losing consciousness till they die. As it would take too long to learn from a chef, I intend to learn by myself. Thank you for finding it so quickly even though I am sure it was difficult. You have never seen a fish before, have you?

Ah?

Why should I not want to keep it?

Clarity Edit: Because, Actually, There Is No Doubt That She Won't Let Me Keep It Even Now. mylord July 19 2009, 23:03:23 UTC
I have never seen anything so marvelous! The fangs are useless, of course, and that is most likely why the species is extinct. A mouth like that would make small prey hard to catch during difficult times, however... taxidermy will suffice. The young mistress will have me sell it later, but till then...

...it is wrapped and you will find it storage room -- a place where the young mistress does not venture. I apologise for making you carry something so heavy, but I imagine you will not experience any problems.

I, uh... Kind of doubt it.

...Really. You gonna eat it yourself once you've made it, or do you have a guinea pig signed up?

No, I guess I haven't. We've got synthesized fish, like salmon and tuna. Doesn't look a damn thing like those, though.

...Well, I was thinking because it's dead. But to each their own, I guess.

Right. Shouldn't be too bad.

That is a relief.

About your clothes, I mean.

Insofar as the fugu, that is something I will handle myself. I have read the toxins inside the fugu linger even after it is prepared properly. Symptoms of paralysis are said to persist even if respiratory failure does not follow and the consumer should feel something akin to a rush from a potent drug. Naturally, I would not serve such a dish to the young mistress, but I would like to learn how to prepare it regardless. It seems very difficult.

Ah, but I agree about the smilodon. I would have preferred it remain alive as well.

In normal circumstances I have no interest in dead things. However, I am also thinking of the young mistress' profit: she would become very popular if she were to sell or donate it to one of our world's museums -- or perhaps she may have something else in mind.

In the meantime I will enjoy its as something even I most likely will never see again.

...So you're making it because you wanna learn, not because you actually wanna eat it.

That seems kind of wasteful.

...I, uh, think you're putting words in my mouth.

You really like cats, don't you?
