Jack's referring to the fall of Gondolin, which gets a short mention in both LOTR and The Silmarillion. The longer version is in some of the Christopher Tolkein books. We've assumed jack was Glorfindel (who also appears in LOTR).
I have this awful feeling that Jack would carry on even when Horry stopped making a fuss.
More? It's taken us about a year to produce this. Any more and we'll be locked up. :)
Ah, je vois. I don't have any of his, though I saw them at Borders. I'll have to look them up. Yes, he was the one who took Frodo to Rivendell, wasn't he? I always pictured him as a blond, like Legolas.
Glorfindel is blond (his name translates to something like golden haired) but I think we imagined Jack being Glorfindel, than being a blond Nazi and then dying his hair back to brown again. :)
Books 1 and 12 (from memory) of the Histories of Middle Earth explain it all, if you wanted to know more.
I have no idea. I remember the fountain and something about the best singer in Gondolin and a discussion about whether old Blondie should have been Glorfindel and if the one visited by the sea god was Horatio...
I was wondering earlier whether we've always been locked up and this is an insane creation that manifests as internet interaction. Are you a figment of my imagination? *pokes you*
The very same one - and reference is made to him having dies and returned (may be in the appendices). We nearlky had Archie being him at one point. This final version is much saner than it might have been...
Anyway, I like Jack winding 'Ratio up, but the silly man doesn't know how to stop reacting. If he stops, then Jack will stop. Supposedly.
"Terribly sorry, sir, my hand must have slipped."
Good Ianto! *pets* Remind Jack that he's taken. *smirk*
