Pointless Audition
We had our audition yesterday, and it was fun! We'd driven up the afternoon before, and stayed over at a really nice hotel near to Yatton, and then we got the park and ride from Long Ashton. After a mooch around the shops we went to the Marriott, but were really early so we sat and just chilled for a while. The audition itself was good. There were seven couples, and we had to do a general knowledge test, then introduce ourselves and say our 'fun fact', and then they did a mock up game, where there were two questions and one person answered one, and the other did the other. We had the choice between world transport and kids' TV shows, and mum wanted to do world transport. It turned out it was all about railways in the world - typical! Anyway, she got a correct answer and 38 points. Then I had to say one of the top 50 (I think) kids' TV shows of all time and loads of people were getting 100 points so I went a little safe and said Play School, which scored 15 points - we were the lowest scorers of all! After that, we had to do a short interview on camera, which was kind of fun, and then we had to say why we should go on the show, but I don't know how well we did there. Mum didn't seem all that dynamic for some reason. Anyway, fingers crossed we get further, we should find out in 3-4 weeks' time.
The journey home seemed to take forever, and we picked Maisie up on the way. We eventually got home at around 8.00pm, and after unpacking I went and fetched fish and chips. Totally off plan, but never mind! Back on it today, sadly.
I have been back at work today, and as it's the first of the month, I sent out my Action for Happiness calendar, which this month is about being altruistic and helping others out. CFM had to respond, of course. And this is what he's said:

05th - Water plants or flowers in a public park or open space - Could get people in trouble with the parks staff LOL Members of the public are not meant to interfere with park or woodland property.
17th - Take a friend on a spontaneous adventure - Could work out expensive unless you’re a cheap-skate like me - a few bin liners and a connected hose-pipe - instant water slide LOL 😊
29th - This will be my SAD day - I already am on the organ donor list and as for donating blood - after all my venesections I have none to spare - not that anyone would really want mine LOL 😊
31st - Plan a street party, picnic or gathering for your community - No community to hand - Can we instead arrange something for our work colleagues 😊
