So I fell off the planet the other day while I was in the middle of responding to comments on my previous post. There was some kind of flu, or general random immune flare-up, or something. So! Misery, ineffective droogs and odd sleeping habits made for the perfect time to watch all of Orange is the New Black!
(
General Reaction Spoilers )
2) I wanted to like Larry! But ugh. I love Piper's brother who lives in the woods, though. LOVE.
3) I don't think I really thought about the fake rape plot that way, because I was super ill and not thinking critically. Plus, basically every interaction anyone has with Pornstache is SO RAPEY that I didn't care how they took him out of commission.
4) Yeah... I thought it was adorable at first, but it got creepy as soon as it turned sexual.
5) MISS CLAUDETTE OMG I CRIED :(
6) Everyone!! I have so much love for bit characters, like Black Cindy and Pennsatucky's dumb lackey girl and thank bloody God they gave us that one girl CO so we have one person on this show with power who we can unequivocally root for.
7) YES!! I love that everyone on the show says what I'm thinking to Piper. I just wish she would extrapolate from all those encounters that maybe she should shut up and listen more.
8) !!!!!! I heard Alex will not be a starring character anymore :( but I assume the fact that they know that means season 2 is in the works??
9) I MISS YOUUUUUU. I feel dug in on the East Coast for a while more but o Portland I miss you and all the wonderful people in you. <3 Are you knitting anything? Do you have crafty news you can share so I can live vicariously? Did you see Trek in the Park and was it AMAZING?

5) ME TOO. OMG. SO MUCH.
7) Here's hoping. ;)
8) Yes, season 2 is in the works, though Alex will be an only occasional character (which is fine with me, really: I loved her Fuck Off speech to Piper, but I find the rest of the cast more interesting).
9) Yes! I am working on the tree bark sweater from one of your books (they say hi!) in purple for myself, and also the Gisela pattern from Coco Knits for my aunt, in olive green. I also volunteered at the Clark County Fair giving spinning demos, which was tons of fun. I still have not registered for a class at OFFF, so I fear I am too late, but I need to do that.
Trek in the Park will be next weekend, as this one I am trying to pickle everything (I have gone so native), and my parents are coming into town. And I have a date. (I will let you know how it goes...)
Miss you tons. Love your Trek University things. You rock.
