Rating: G
Genre: Supernatural??
Chapter; 3/?
Pairing: Guess guess~
Even though Jinki already offered his companion to Henry, there was no sign the slightly older boy have any intention to do so. On the other hand, Henry himself seemed to calm down a little bit. Either that or he was already used to it.
That was until one day, some of Super Junior members came to visit the academy. Their presence have made some ruckus among the trainees, Jinki and Henry were no exceptions. Even Minho looked more excited than usual. By this time, Minho, who silently watched Henry since the sudden bad health condition (Henry said so but Minho did not believe him of course), found something interesting: his sudden bad condition was always related to Super Junior somewhat.
Knowing how close Henry and Jinki were, Minho thought maybe it was best to point this out to the latter and let him handle it. Minho did not want to get involved too far.
Minho was thinking all of that during break of their dance class. Sitting beside a dozing Zhou Mi, he simply stared at Henry and Taemin, once again engaged in a dance battle, seemingly like Duracell bunnies with self-charging batteries. He was thinking deeply and for once, unaware of his surrounding and that was why he was not realized Jinki was staring at him.
You’re right, Henry…Minho is too dangerous
Henry suddenly halted his dance, seemed like tripped by his own feet, and grabbed Taemin by reflex. With a loud yelp, Taemin suddenly found his body slammed to the hard wood ext to his wood. Immediately two bodies ran to them. Jinki helped Henry sat up while Kibum was fussing over Taemin. “Pardon me for being rude, hyung, but please be careful! You’re huring Taemin!” Kibum scolded Henry, Taemin was staring at the former, surprised at the usually polite boy suddenly scolding a hyung.
“Kibum-sshi, it was an accident and don’t be rude to hyung”
Kibum looked like he wanted to retort back but held himself back. He really did not want to argue with Jinki now, the older boy was always won and lately the mere sight of him was giving Kibum unpleasant feelings. Jinki raised an eyebrow at the lack of response but let it go when Zhou Mi came to interrupt.
All this time, Minho was standing up too but with the situation now under control, he was just staying on the spot. However he noticed Henry was slightly paler and there was the slightest hint of fear in his eyes. This time though, Minho was also aware of his surrounding and saw Taemin staring at him with unreadable eyes. Minho shrugged it off and turned to look at Jinki. Hence, he did not see the defeat in Taemin’s lowered eyes.
That night, Jinki was making his homework but his mind was flying back to today’s event at the dance class. He dropped his pencil and decided to spy Henry, and Minho if he has the time, tonight. He picked up his english book and stared at it for a moment.
Kibum has been weird lately. He usually was quite close to Henry, but he seems like avoiding him these days...
Jinki slammed his head to his desk. Between Henry, Minho and Kibum, who was he going to spy first?? Those three were so confusing!
Then again….he could just let it go. Whatever their problem, he has no right at all to interfere.
Except for Henry, maybe, since he was his best friend….
Damn his nature to care for his friends.
Jinki was walking in the street of Seoul. Looking around, he did not see anything that could possibly dangerous. It was spring night, the air was still a bit cold but he did not feel any of it. It was not real after all.
Jinki? Is that you?
Jinki looked to his left and spotted Henry looking at him in awe. He smiled and greeted him. Walking closer to the Canadian, he saw his friend was only wearing loose sweatpants and white shirt. Aware of the simple style of clothes, Jinki found himself only wearing pajamas too but once again he brushed it off.
Hey there, Hentaro~
Bijinki….what are you doing here?
Jinki encircled his hand around his friend’s body, drawing him into a hug.
I’m trying to help you….didn’t I tell you so?
Henry was stayed still for a moment before nodded slowly and returned the hug. He usually felt cold and fear in his dream, especially those dreams, but now he could feel the warmth and sincerity from his best friend.
Then he felt it again. The tug of danger. Suddenly even Jinki’s warmth could not put an ease in his being and Jinki could sense it. Before he could question him he already saw why.
Henry’s grip on him could make him scream in pain but he was not.
Because the people around them did that, the moment the car toppled over.
“….so that’ why you’re so silent these days…”
Henry took a sip of his tea, choosing to stay silent for a moment. He did not mean to tell Jinki anything even if he wanted to, he did not want his friend to share the same pain, the same guilt. But ever since he woke up to his own bed in his dorm, instead of fear, he felt confusion and awe. The only question dancing in his head was why and how Jinki was there.
“I guess it’s about time you know. It’s only fair and I trust you”
Henry looked up at the boy sitting in front of him. Jinki wore his high school uniform with a sweater, his jacket placed on top of his bag on the chair next to him. He stared at Henry calmly, more like observing, with one hand propped on the table to support his chin and the other was holding his cup of tea.
Time of what? What is he talking about?
I’m talking about you and me and us and your dreams, Hentaro
Henry almost dropped his cup in surprise. Staring at Jinki with disbelief, his mouth going open and close like a fish, Henry simply at a loss of words. Jinki calmly sipped his tea.
You’re smart, Hentaro….you know what this means right?
It took a while but Henry finally nodded. His eyes explained everything: awe, fear, surprise, shock even…but finally, finally it was filled with understanding and hope.
Is that mean I can talk to you…?
You practically do that already. But just for the sake of answering: yes, you can talk or call me whenever you want
Then how….?
I can enter someone’s mind, not just reading their thoughts
…..even in my dream?
At this question, Jinki rose up from his chair and grabbed his things, urging Henry to do the same. They were then walking side by side to the SM building again in silence. Henry was slightly disturbed of his friend’s lack of response but Jinki just mouthed at him ‘later’. So Henry waited.
When they entered the toilet in the building, Jinki finally told him the answer.
“Before I answer you, I just want to tell you this: even though I can see and read people’s thoughts, I prefer talk to them with my voice. I don’t want to take advantage of people”
Henry smiled and nodded.
“As for the answer of your question earlier…..Hentaro, are you sure it is a dream?”
Henry turned his head, avoiding Jinki’s stare. That only confirmed Jinki’s suspicion of him.
“….you…can see the future….aren’t you?”
Jinki’s voice was not above a whisper but Henry felt like it was shouted to his ears. He winced slightly and nodded. And Jinki finally understood what has been bugging Henry’s mind.
The future of Super Junior has been decided.
A/N: In this chapter, I wrote their nicknames that private for the two of them. Hentaro is the way
