I has a cough...

So I'm making a playlist for my new fictionpress story. I've decided to go with something else than I mentioned before (though that will get written eventually). This new story is quite different than To Feel the Sun, and it's kind of fun. It's good that it's totally different than my current novel (which is at a sticky spot, but I hope to get over that before I totally start losing confidence in myself). It means I have a lot more of a break from the type of novel I'm writing, you know?

Anyway, this new playlist is... interesting. Most of the songs are pretty heavy, soundwise, which was planned. Though there are a fewer "light" songs (namely Beirut and old Eisley and even a Verve song), most of them are going to be much darker. Which is how the story is going to go. I have half a chapter written, and I decided I wanted to make a playlist that I could listen to while writing. I only have 10 songs, but the list is expanding as I'm searching for songs. I dearly wish I could get Drew Sarich's "Gethsemane" (or even Steve Balsamo's) onto the playlist, but I'm not so sure how to do that. Maybe I should add a note in the description, "GO TO THIS YOUTUBE VIDEO!" XD The songs aren't in any particular order, so it's not a big deal, I suppose.

I had the same problem with the last song of To Feel the Sun. I desperately want the final song on the playlist to be "Storybook Love" but it's so hard to find. Oh well. Look it up on youtube (it's the end credits song on The Princess Bride and it's a song very close to my heart).

Oh well. The lyrics aren't quite so important on the new story's playlist. Mostly it's about the emotion and sounds. Though I found a couple songs that are remarkably fitting. Like Dream for Me by Eisley, which I'd never actually heard before, and Gethsemane by Nightwish. I was never big on playlists before, but I like doing them now. It's fun to try and find songs to fit in with the story, and definitely awesome to find songs that have the sound and emotion you want for a piece. And just looking at my To Feel the Sun playlist will show you I have very eclectic tastes. The same is true for this new one.
