Yeah. It was pretty lame. The action was boring, predictable, not-awesome, and all the narration and bombastic speech making put me to sleep.
Really, as long as the Immortals had actually been cool, it would have been better. Hell, if there had been one single duel, just one, I would have been supremely happy. Instead, it was just a bunch of slo-motion kill shots which were pretty much all exactly the same with all the cool fighting action sped up so you couldn't see the awesomeness. The spartans were invincible superheroes who somehow fell to a bunch of arrows instead of going out in a blaze of glory. So lame. Pointless five second CG elephant shots, a completely unhardcore rhino scene, stupid mutants who were pretty much worthless assets to the Persian army....the list goes on. Dull and boring.
though, I wouldn't mind renting it and watching it outside a theater. that movie is so full of MST3K opportunities, its ridiculous. it would be a lot of fun to watch with friends in the comfort of your own home.
