I find the very idea of that movie traumatizing.
I can't imagine why you would voluntarily submit yourself to that bastardization of Aztec culture. However, what's done is done.

until I come see you, find yourself a support group.
we'll watch Ice Age and cuddle and make it all better.

Isn't it Mayan culture? those look like Mayan temples to me, the Aztecs lived on this crazy island temple called Tenochitlan...I take it this means you're one of the ppl opposed to the film...?

...you're right, I definitely meant Mayan.

And yes, I'm terribly opposed to this movie. It's horrible. Imagine a movie made about Rome that started out with the line "Before a civilization is destroyed from without, it must destroy itself from within." And then proceeds to demonstrate that the Roman civilization collapsed because Romans spent 95% of their time having orgies and backstabbing each other. Apocalypto does the same thing, except this time the Mayans are accused of killing whatever they couldn't enslave. The body count outnumbers the amount of orcs killed in all three LOTR movies combined. How dumb is that? And it totally ignores the obvious, which is the Mayans collapsed because the Europeans had guns and new diseases; had the Spaniards not shown up, Mayans would have taken over North America. I couldn't imagine a more Anglo-centric, feather-brained analysis of Mayan culture. And the action sucked, too.

I like the rating system used in Portuguese newspapers; Borat is usually rated "Flee!"
