What i'm about to write about occured on Monday July 21st, I just totally forgot to write about it.
Okay, ahem...
So we were scheduled to have a company meeting @ 2pm. It got pushed to 2:15pm...then it was 3pm and still no meeting yet. So I took my lunch and then finally the owner of our company arrives. We all head to the break room and she starts to discuss plans to move buildings. It isn't going to happen now, but it might in the future, she reveals.
Then the topic of a new name for this new business plan comes up. She is deciding to maybe involve collections in our company. She said it took her hours to come up with a name to suggest to all of us. She wanted something non threatening, but still solid.
Wanna hear this name: Champion 4Ever.
I glanced at my manager Brandi, and she already had her hand over her mouth to keep from laughing. Then I had to do the same. I seriously thought, WTF!! Are you kidding me??!! She then says she wants our feedback. I thought well heres my mother fucking chance to stand up in front of the whole company (er, whats left of it..) and say how I feel.
I waited a little bit to see if anyone else thought this name was fucking stupid, but nobody rasied their hand. I pipped up with a "I have a tiny suggestion." I said it sounds a little juvinile, and that we might not be taken seriously. I then, with my obsession with The Office, came up with: Champion Infinity. Which, of course, she didn't care for.
I felt so good after I spoke up. I mean I was having a mini panic attack, but I was happy inside. Even my co-workers and managers were coming up to me after the meeting saying I had balls to say what I said and that they were surprised and proud that I was the only one to say something. 8D I seriously couldn't hold it in.
FYI: (for anyone who cares) This is my second time taking a chance on speaking my mind. I can't wait to do more of it.
So watch out world. I'll speak what I think.
