On the days I don't ride my bike to work, I travel on Edmonton Transit #9 down 109th street, disembark at the McDonald's Triangle at 61st avenue and walk on to the Centre for Environmental Business and Advocacy. My morning commute takes me past five churches in all. Two I pass on the bus: the Cornerstone Church at 72nd Avenue and St. Basil's Basilica at 70th. The rest I walk by on foot, and I always find the tag-lines noteworthy.
This looks like a good church because Jesus Christ is Lord here. I wouldn't want to go to a church where someone else is Lord.
But then, wouldn't you rather go to church where people enjoy Christianity? I think I would. It would be much better than the churches where the people don't enjoy Christianity.
St. Agnes' doesn't have a published tag-line, but I often hear the tag-line in my head, "They
stabbed our saint in the neck."
