Furi Curi, is, curiously, pronounced Fooly Cooly. And equally curiously, abbreviated FLCL. It is a three-season anime program produced by three anime studios including Production I.G. and Gainax. Production I.G. was a partner in Ghost in the Shell.
I started watching FLCL because it YouTube promoted a clip of the show to me where one of the characters, Haruko Haruhara appears in Episode 5 dressed as the Bunny Girl from the Daicon IV opening short film. YouTube also explained Daicon IV to me.
Daicon IV was a chronicle of all the things that the Gainax crew loved. It was like their personal Ready Player One.
My personal FLCL would be a theme park.
